Ms. Melville new paragraph Jadakiss "why"

Let's just ask the question "Why". Jadakiss wrote this rhyme to show everything that was going on from the streets to politics. This is one of the best ways to get across a good message with wonderful sound, images and several different new perspectives.

First this rhyme/rap has exciting rhyme. For example " Why they come up with witness protection. Why they let the terminator win the election". This verse has rhyme and it has mad flow. Another example of a good sound would be when he said "Why all the young n***** dyin' Cause they moms at work, they pops is gone, they livin' wit iron". In the two previous verses it easy to discover what the message of this song might be.

This song also shows images that you can clearly see such as september 11, "Why did bush knock down the towers". It gives you a clear image of prisoners and how they can no longer get degrees. It also shows the images of young men and how they are dying. Basically every verse in this rap shows clear images of that verse." Why Aaliyah have to take that flight". This verse explains how the singer Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash.

After explaining about the two previous things the sound and the images know its time to redirect our attention to what is the new perspective that Jadakiss is trying to get a across. This is a message song to the fullest. It has just the basic question which is just "Why". It is good just to ask questions and to wonder why things happen. This song could also be trying to send the message that a lot of unnessary things are happenening in society that is useless and that do not need to happen.
The best way to show a wonderful poem is to use a song like this that has sound, images, and more than one perspective. In order to have a successful poem or rap, it is crucial that you keep your readers attention. Like I stated this poem has quite a lot of sound, images and more than one new perspective. In my final conclusion I would like to say that Jadakiss "Why" is the best song to show rhyme, sound, images and new perspectives.

Ms. Melville question

On the issue of the whether Kanye West is better then Jay-Z most of my classmates agreed Jay-Z was better. Most stated that he is just better. As stated by Rory "he is just the best". Nafis also agreed that Jay Z was better " Because I like his songs better". They have both have similiar reason why they thought Jay-Z was the better artist. But there was one indivisual who stood out. That person was Britttany she said "Kanye West was more creative than Jay-Z". And with that statement I agree with it a lot. The majority of my class voted for Jay-Z but it was for different reasons. So to answer the question Jay-Z is better than Kanye West.

What the election means to me

This election was a historical event. I personally thank God for allowing me to be on this earth during this historical moment. It was something that was long waited for. Not only because he was African American but how much he won by. It was something that I will never forget.

Barack Obama being president has an effect on me and future generations. It is not only a dream, but also a reality. African Americans can run for president and actually win. Not only by the color of there skin but also the effort that he put out. Even though Barack Obama is not completely African American that is even better.

It is better because I believe in the near future there will be more biracial couples. Another thing that really spoke to me was how Michelle Obama was a direct descendant of a slave or slaves.

This election also will change hope for future generations.

Such as Hannah Montana, Dylan and Cole Sprout. Also a film maker of many well known classics such as 101 Dalmatians. As clearly shown Walt Disney contributed a lot to history and even present time. Inspired by the fact that he wanted families to get away from all the stress of home and just get together to celebrate and have fun.Disney fist made short films and later moved on to main longer movies. Although he did that he was not the first to do so but the audience that he created it or was different and so were the characters. Next was his amusement parks What did he do differently than other parks? He was the first to have animated characters come to life also he included restaurants, and new rides that were unfamiliar to people. He also made the parks much larger having more rides.Even though Walt Disney was a great success there still were many of issues. For example in the time of Walt Disney World War II was going on and Hitler was in power. Also there was the copy write infringement that came about. The symbol of Mickey Mouse was to be kept because of the Copyright and it went to court. It did not just go to Court but it went to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ruled in Disney's favor and that was the end of that. The symbol still stands today.Walt Disney had a lot that he wanted to do as I stated before. He wanted a place for families to come together and not just have fun but have a life changing experience. He wanted to bring joy and happiness. Even though everything he did was not perfect he still pretty much accomplished his number one goal 'happiness". Even today people still enjoy his wonderful works of art.Disney didn't just come out of the blue and began producing big time hits, it took hard work and effort. In the story Animal Farm obvious to see that many animals were strong. But in reality its not always the physically strong that survive but the mentally strong. The title of the book is Animal Farm and it was written by George Orwell in 1945 in the Beats of England. The book was a satire which criticizes Stalin and the Russian people. In animal farm the way characters respond to different stories have a strong connection to their ability to survive.

For example you have Boxer the horse believes everything and every story that is told to him. His famous two quotes were that of "Napoleon is always right" and " I will work harder". Boxer also never spoke up and stated his opinion in the whole situation. Even being one of the strongest animals on Animal Farm, he still may have been intimidated by Napoleon and the pigs. An example of Boxer believing lies would have to be when the windmill was destroyed and Napoleon said that Snowball did it when in reality the farmers did. Boxer did nothing and continued to work. While being strong helped him in most aspects of his life his intelligence was not quite there and since he was fooled easily he was easily tricked into being sold to a horse slaughterer.

Another animal would be Squealer the pig. He was most famous for his persuasive words. He could twist a story and made a lot of the animals believe him. One example for this would be how he changed one of the commandments about beds. Originally the rule was that animals were not to sleep in beds. But according to Squealer they were not aloud to sleep in beds with sheets/ covers. Second there was a suspicion that someone stole the milk and apples but in reality it was the pigs who stole it. Squealer said that "they needed the milk and apples for brain power. Last but not least he changed the whole story of the rebellion. What really happened was that Snowball leaded the Rebellion and made the farmers follow him so that all the big animals would be able to plunged on top of them. But some how Squealer convinced the animals that Snowball had ran and acted "cowardly". Seeing how Squealer lied his way through the book he ends up extremely powerful in the end

.Lastly there is Benjamin the donkey. He was one of the few animals that could read and actually understand what he was reading. He kept to himself. Every time there was a debate or something went wrong he did not respond even though he knew that everything was going so wrong. Benjamin was also one of the animals that figured out that the commandments had changed and also realized what the pigs were trying to do. Even after the pigs rose to power he knew all about the pigs and the humans coming together. An example of him knowing that things had changed would have to be that of Benjamin knew that on the side of the truck it said horse slaughterer but indeed the pigs stated that it was no longer that and it was under another name. Toward the end of the story he said that " It was hard to tell the difference between the pigs and the humans.". Keeping to himself and also his comments had to work because he lives in the end.

The different ways that characters in Animal Farm respond determine whether they live or die. Squealer lies throughout the whole book and lives. He also becomes very powerful. Boxer working so hard and being foolish and not opening his eyes to what really was going on his result was death. And lastly Benjamin being wise and paying attention lets him survive but leaves him very unhappy. Animal Farm connects to the real world because as in history and the story most times the bad guy actually win.

Ms. Melville paragraph (Animal Farm)

In Animal Farm, the animals accept Napeloens lies for several different reasons. One reason for this is the animals were scared. They show this when Napeleon brings the dogs out, and every animal does not respond. They just keep it quiet. They also show this because Napeleon was simply the leader. The next reason would have to be because if Napeleon didn't take over who else would. You can tell because some of the animals can not read or write, meaning they were illerate. Some animals were also just clueless, an example would have to be Boxer. His two slogans were " I will work harder" and " Napeleon is always right". The animals would not speak up because they knew the consequences could be deadly. Knowing that Comrade Napeleon had all the srtong and powerful animals. For example when the pigs were about to speak up they did not because of the dogs, and the dogs would began to growl. In my closing I would like to say that they accept Napeloens lies because of the reasons I stated previously in my paragrap. Napeleon was a leader and a strong one at that.

Annotation 1

The website I used:http://www.answers.com/topic/walt-disney

My topic is Walt Disney. He was born on Decembe 5, 1901. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was the founder and creater of one of the most known places in the world ( Disney World) and it still has his name. He created many of cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Ariel etc. And eventually created short movies and films. He eventually was able to have his creation on television. During his life time he won many of Academy Awards. In 1955 Walt Disney opened an international amusement park, which was a big hit with not only younger children but adults also. Since then other following parks were opened. The Disney creation also grew and became more powerful and was made into Disney radio, Disney televison and launched careers of many formal teen celebrities.

This website helped me a great deal with my annotation. It gave me a lot of information for in which I did not know.

This would be a secondary source because someone had to write this.

The intended audience would be everyone who is interested in any kind of Disney or Disney characters.

English 1 Ms.Melville

I believe that in the story Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford had changed because of three different reasons. The first reason was he was for liberty. He was for liberty because early in the story he stated to Whitney " The world is made up of hunters and the huntees". He also explained that hunting was like a sport. Next he changed for equality because toward the end of the story Rainsford quoted " He knows how animal at bay feels". I believe after he was hunted he may have regretted the times he hunted animals. Lastly he changed for the better. He finally killed something that deserved to die. It finally was over Rainsford had won. This is why I believe Rainsford starts off with liberty and ends up with equality.
